自然資源部天津海水淡化與綜合利用研究所自建所以來，始終重視國際合作與交流，先后與美國、日本、韓國、香港、 以色列等20多個國家和地區的海水利用科研機構、協會及企業建立了長期友好的合作關系；多次組織海水利用工程實地考察、選派技術人員出 國培訓、接待國外專家及同行來所訪問交流。通過學術訪問、參觀考察、項目合作、人才培養等多種形式的國際合作，研究所整體科研水平明 顯提高，影響力顯著增強，在國際海水利用學界的地位明顯提高。    

Since its foundation, ISDMU has been paying high attention on international cooperation and exchanges.Now we have been establishing long term friendly cooperation with the seawater utilization institutions,associations, and corporations in over 20 countries and regions including USA, Japan, Korea, Israel, and Hong Kong. We visit seawater utilization sites, send technicians as trainee abroad and receive foreign visitors from time to time. Our researching capacity, influence and standing in the international seawater utilization community are significantly enhanced thorough multiple forms of international cooperation such as academic visit, site visit, project cooperation, and personnel training.
